The Plenty is made by Germany’s esteemed Storz & Bickel, a company well known for their line of balloon style vapes known as the Volcano vaporizers. These hand-held units utilize the direct delivery method of ordinary whip style devices, however, the innovative air-cooled stainless steel vapor wand is certainly not your average wand. In fact, the stainless steel cooling coil is a flexible wand which effectively cools the vapor prior to it reaching the user. For high-yield vapor production, this unique system takes advantage of a double helix heat exchanger and an oven with some serious surface area that is capable of producing some of the thickest vapor we’ve experienced. Liquid pads add versatility, as they allow for liquid blends to be vaporized in addition to dry blends. These medical grade vaporizing devices cost less than a Volcano vaporizer and are amongst our highest rated for home use. A rotary-dial on the side of unit allows for the temperature to be adjusted across a spectrum which drops as low as 266°F and as high as 396°F. An analog temperature display clearly conveys the current internal temperature while also indicating the manufacturer’s suggested range; the ideal vaporizing temperature range for efficient vapor production. If you’re interested in buying the Plenty, which is hand crafted in Germany, you can purchase it online from this shop or continue reading and watch the video below to learn more about this powerful hand-held.

Plenty Liquid Pads

One of the wonderful aspects of the one-and-a-half pound Plenty that’s often overlooked is the ability to vaporize liquids and oils such as those used in aromatherapy. In order to make the conversion to an oil vaporizer, simply insert the included stainless steel liquid pad into the filling chamber and load it one drop at a time. A single pad is capable of absorbing up to 10 drops of liquid at one time, though the manufacturer recommends utilizing as little as required to reach the optimal flavor. Stainless steel wires that compose the pad act as vegetable fibers and subsequently provide the surface necessary to vaporize liquid blends.

Dimensions, Weight, & Power

Plenty vapes measure 6.1″ x 2″ x 8.86″ (LWH) and weigh 1.5 pounds. They utilize standard AC power adapters with cords that plug directly into wall outlets. Bi-metallic regulators allow for independent temperature control and automatic shut-off, ensuring that the device operates safely by preventing the unit from overheating.

How To Use The Plenty

When it comes to using the Volcano Plenty, a name by which it’s sometimes referred to as, the process is relatively simple. Grab the base of the cooling coil and twist counter-clockwise to reveal the filling chamber. When loading your blend into the heating chamber, ensure you are utilizing a liquid pad for smaller quantities of dry blends and obviously liquids as well. To use the liquid pad with a pinch of dry blends, insert the blend and simply rest the pad on top of your blend. For more information on vaporizing liquids and oils, check the “Liquid Pads” tab on the left. Moving on, replace the chamber’s lid to complete the process of loading your blend. Next, you’ll want to adjust the temperature by rotating the temperature wheel to select your desired vaporizing temperature between the predetermined range of approximately 266°F to 395°F; equivalent to 130°C – 202°C. prefers level 7, the highest temperature on the device. Click the power switch on the side to activate the heating element. Once the device has been switched on, the control light located below the analog temperature display will begin to glow orange and remain on until the desired vaporizing temperature has been achieved. Reaching vaporizing temperatures takes anywhere from 2-3 minutes, assuming that it hasn’t been warmed up. You’re ready to begin drawing vapor through the cooling coil. After 90 seconds, the heating element can be reactivated easily by squeezing the trigger-like button beneath the handle. Once you’ve completed a cycle or two, you should have the process down and find yourself enjoying the efficiency of the Plenty vape.

  1. It looks funky, but I watched a video of some dude taking fat rips and blowing huge clouds and now I’ve got to try one for myself. I feel like it’s a bit on the pricey side, but that’s really no surprise seeing as it’s made by Storz & Bickel. I’m curious though, how does it compare to the Volcano?

    • Hey Jim, thanks for dropping by. Tough comparison to make, as it’s not a balloon vaporizer, however, we’ll take a shot at it. In regards to the quality of vapor, Volcano wins with what we believe is some of the purist vapor on the market, however, the Plenty’s filling chamber actually offers more surface area than the Volcano’s which allows it to produce those ridiculously large clouds of vapor that you mentioned. Both use convection and take approximately two to three minutes to heat up. The Volcano vaporizers, especially the Digit, offer a broader selection of temperatures. As far as convenience goes, we still believe that the Volcano vaporizer’s valved balloons are the way to go. Price wise, the obvious winner is the Plenty.

      • I believe the Plenty should not be compared with balloon vapes. It is surely the best plugin home whip unit to date. Vapor taste is on par with Volcano but not as consistent unless you max out the filling chamber. Again it is a whip vaporizer not a balloon and I do not want to compare. Thanks VapeForest for the hookup!

  2. Great vaporiser, best I’ve owned and well worth the price. Very easy to live with and works great. S&B could do well to include a stand to park it on and given the design is much like a power drill, could we have a battery powered one, fair dinkum, a bloke could put one of these in his tool box and no one would be the wiser! LOL!
